ABOUT PCO

The Piedmont Chamber Orchestra is now celebrating its seventh year as a resident ensemble at Piedmont Center for the Arts. The orchestra is composed of current and former professional musicians as well as highly skilled amateurs from Piedmont and surrounding areas. It is led by Music Director Martha Stoddard and Assistant Conductor Andrew O'Donnell.

A Bit of History

In August 2011, the officially named Piedmont Center for the Arts was opened to the public replete with a horn fanfare at the top of the front entry stairs. Piedmont residents Tom Reicher and Stuart Gronningen, both horn players with Berkeley Symphony and the PCO, were part of the musical welcoming committee. Since its opening, the Center has been used nearly non-stop for a wide range of music performances, art exhibits, film and theater presentations, author talks, speakers, and gatherings for student and adult art and rehearsals.
